The East Clinton girls bowling team defeated Bethel-Tate 1,628 to 1,170 Saturday morning.

East Clinton, now 8-3 in the SBAAC National Division, is headed in “the right direction” as the team has a big week. The Astros host Clermont Northeastern Monday and then compete in the SBAAC tournament Saturday at Royal Z Lanes.

Coach Joe Davis said CNE defeated EC earlier in the year but this time the Astros “hope to shock them when they come to Royal Z Lanes.”

On Saturday, Tessa Bosier had a 347 (202, 145) to edge Josie Runk’s 345 (141, 204) for top honors.

Madison Frazer had a 133 game while August Morgan finished with a 305 (128, 177).
