EC baseball comes up one run short to Trace

LEES CREEK — The East Clinton baseball team was defeated by Miami Trace 3-2 Friday in a South Central Ohio League game on the EC diamond.

Coach James Huff said his Astros played one but came up a run short.

“Just need to hit in certain times,” Huff said. “(We were) never out of the game and beginning to play like a team.”

Huff said some of the “young guys stepped up.”

However, the coach said his squad still had “a lot of strikeouts in key situations” offensively.
