LEES CREEK — Down five runs early, East Clinton was unable to get over the hump Friday and lost to Miami Trace 11-5 in a South Central Ohio League softball game on the EC diamond.
The Panthers scored five runs in the first inning and never looked back.
Taylor Boeckmann had three hits for the Lady Astros while Lacey Peterman, Kayla Hall, Tressana Osborne, Madi Pirman and Tori Bailey had two hits each.
East Clinton finished with 16 hits total.
Sierra Christian took the pitching loss for EC. In all, the East Clinton defense allowed eight unearned runs.
