CM baseball rips Indians 11-2

HILLSBORO — Scoring six runs in the first inning, Clinton-Massie overpowered Hillsboro 11-2 Monday in South Central Ohio League baseball action in Highland County.

The win gives the Falcons a 6-0 overall record and a 3-0 mark in SCOL play. Clinton-Massie will travel to SCOL unbeaten Wilmington Wednesday afternoon.

Noah Greathouse had two hits and scored three runs. Luke Richardson had two hits, scored a run and drove in a run. Aric France doubled and drove in a pair of runs.

Wyatt Jefferson made his first start of the year a winning one. He went seven innings and struck out 10. Both runs allowed were unearned.

“He had good command and did an excellent job spotting his pitches,” CM coach Brian Camp said.

The Falcons had three hits but used three Hillsboro errors and two walks by Indians pitching in the first to score six runs.
