CINCINNATI — Blanchester managed just two hits Saturday in a 20-0 loss to Turpin in non-conference baseball action at THS.

“It’s a shame it was over before it started,” BHS coach Aaron Lawson said. “I was really looking forward to see how we stacked up against a good Division I program.”

James Wymer and Jacob Hamm had the only hits for the Wildcats. BHS did draw five walks and struck out only six times.

However Blanchester pitched issued 12 walks while the defense struggled early.

“It doesn’t matter who we are playing, when you have seven walks and three errors the first two innings you will not compete with anyone,” Lawson said.
