WILMINGTON — New Richmond handed Wilmington a heartbreaking 3-2 loss Wednesday in SBAAC American Division softball action at the WHS diamond.
The Lions scored an unearned run in the top of the seventh as the Hurricane committed two errors with two outs.
Wilmington is 1-4 overall, 0-3 in the American. New Richmond and Western Brown are unbeaten in the American, the Lions at 3-0.
Harlie Bickett had two hits and scored both of Wilmington’s runs. Emily Self and Jena Rhoads had RBIs. Toria Willis had two hits as well.
Willis started on the mound and was relieved by Bickett.
