WASHINGTON CH — Rallying from a 3-0 game two deficit, the Blanchester softball team earned a split with Washington Senior Saturday in a non-league doubleheader.

Blanchester lost the first game 8-5 then won the nightcap 6-3.

“You never want to lose two in one day, so I was pleased with how we bounced back after dropping the first game,” BHS coach Jamey Grogg said.

Blanchester is 3-7 on the year.

In game one, the Ladycats stranded five runners in scoring position. Each player in the lineup either had a hit or scored multiple runs.

In game two, Rianna Mueller gave up three runs in the first then blanked the Blue Lions the rest of the way on just one hit.

Kyra Renick had two hits in each game.
