BATAVIA — The East Clinton varsity softball team lost a 12-2 game Saturday to SBAAC American Division rival Batavia.

East Clinton is 0-5. Batavia, with 21 hits in the game, is 3-6.

“Batavia had a lot of hard hits and the girls had some adjustments to make playing on (artificial) turf,” EC coach Katie Rupp said.

Jericka Boggs had two runs batted in for East Clinton.
