EBER — Clinton-Massie’s boys track and field team scored four first-place finishes Tuesday in a meet at Miami Trace with Wilmington.
“It was a good opening meet that allowed us to see what some of our new athletes are capable of,” CM coach Brian Mudd said.
Chris Demler won the high jump, clearing 5-8, and Devon O’Bryon won the 200-meter dash in 24 seconds.
The 4×100-meter relay team of Devon and Cole O’Bryon, Cade James and Scott Goings clocked 46.2 and finished first.
The 4×800-meter relay team of Jacob Whitaker, Tanner Olberding, Alex Hudson and Nick Chowning ran 9:03 and finished first.
Issac Green was second in the shot put (37-0) and Hudson finished as runnerup in the 800 in 2:19. Olberding was second in the 3,200-meter run in 11:30.
The boys 4×400-meter relay team of Cole O’Bryon, Hudson, Goings and Devon O’Bryon clocked 3:52 and finished second.
The pole vault was not contested.
Clinton-Massie finished second to Wilmington and ahead of Miami Trace, Mudd said.
