WILMINGTON — With five players scoring at least two goals, the Wilmington High School lacrosse team defeated Clinton-Massie 13-10 Wednesday night at Alumni Field.

Cameron McEvoy led the Hurricane’s offensive onslaught with four goals.

“We knew there were going to be no surprises during our second match of the season (with Clinton-Massie),” WHS head coach Adam Shultz said. “Our players did a great job of stepping up and hustling to ground balls and riding the Falcon defenders. Again, the Falcons kept clawing their way back into the game. The Falcon attackman played a great game and kept challenging our defensive unit.”

Logan Camp added three goals while Eric Maus, Jude Martin and Austin Pagett had two goals each.

Bryson McVay had 18 saves in goal for the Hurricane.
