No. 4 Wildcats sweep DH from Hurricane

WILLIAMSBURG — State-ranked Williamsburg swept a softball doubleheader from Wilmington Saturday afternoon by scores of 3-2 and 11-1.

Wilmington had just six hits in the two games with Harlie Bickett, Jena Rhoads and Toria Willis collecting two each.

Willis pitched well in the one-run loss, going seven innings. She did not walk a batter nor did she strike out a batter.

Bickett homered in the loss while Rhoads had two doubels.

In the 11-1 game, Madi Ogden of Williamsburg struck out 13 Hurricane batters in five innings.

In the second state vote of the year, Williamsburg is ranked No. 4 in the Div. III poll.
