With the mid-season resignation of Katrina “Katie” Rupp, Sarah Sodini has taken over the East Clinton softball program.

Sodini was an assistant coach for Rupp, who resigned April 28, according to athletic director Brian Carey.

“A series of events led to the resignation under mutual agreement,” Carey said. “Ms. Rupp continues to be employed by East Clinton, but not as softball coach.”

Rupp is listed as the district’s psychologist on the Central Office staff directory.

“We hope the resignation allows both the team and Ms. Rupp to move forward in a positive direction,” Carey said.

East Clinton is 0-11 this season. The Astros have not played since Rupp stepped down.
