BLANCHESTER — With a solid performance top to bottom, East Clinton’s girls won the Blanchester Invitational Friday at the Barbour Memorial Field athletic complex.
Clinton-Massie did not compete in the girls portion of the meet.
For Blanchester, Becca Kratzer hit the line first, winning the 100-meter hurdles in 17.7 seconds.
Emma Winemiller was third in the high jump (4-8) and fifth in the long jump (13-2.75). Ainsley Whitaker posted a runnerup finish in the discus (105-3).
The Astros had four first-place finishes.
Libby Evanshine won the high jump (4-10) and sister Gracie Evanshine won the 100-meter hurdles (18.5). Libby also was runnerup in the long jump and 200-meter dash while Gracie was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles.
East Clinton also won a pair of relay events.
The 4×100-meter team of Jordan Collom, Gracie Evanshine, Lauren Runyon and Libby Evanshine ran 56.6 to take first.
The 4×200 team of Kenton Deaton, Jozie Jones, Emma Riddle and Runyon ran 2:04.6 and crossed the line in front of the field.
