The Wilmington High School softball team fell behind early and never recovered in a 6-2 loss to Chillicothe Wednesday in South Central Ohio League action at the WHS diamond.
“We have to stop allowing opponents those ‘big innings’ and find a way to come up with some big innings of our own,” WHS head coach Glen Blessing said.
The Lady Cavaliers scored four runs in the third inning. For the game, CHS had 16 hits.
Hunter Toller had two of Wilmington’s six hits in the game. Madi Flint took the pitching loss.
