WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — Clinton-Massie banged out 17 hits and remained unbeaten with a 16-2 win over Washington Friday in South Central Ohio League baseball at WSHS.

The Falcons (10-0 overall, 7-0 in SCOL) were led offensively by Aric France who had four hits.

“We played a little bit of small ball early to score some runs, then our kids really ripped it (later) to score,” CM coach Brian Camp said.

Much of the ripping came in the fifth inning. The Falcons led 7-2 going to the fifth, but then exploded for nine runs to close out the five-inning victory. Camp said seven of the 13 batters that went to the plate in the fifth had hits for CM.

JT Wolf, Max Murray and Noah Greathouse had three hits and drove in three runs each. Dana Eichenhorst had two hits as well.

Wyatt Jefferson picked up the pitching victory for Massie.

“He pitched out of a couple threatening innings,” Camp said.
