More than 20 golfers took part in the Elks 797 Junior Golf Camp this week at the Elks 797 Golf Course.
Randall Davis, the general manager of the Elks 797 Golf Course, was camp director and Tyler Steves, the Elks 797 Golf Course pro shop assistant, also coached the players
But Davis said Elks 797 alumni Gabby Woods, Jack Murphy and Hunter DeWeese were a big part of the success of the camp.
“Gabby, Hunter and Jack grew up practicing at our facility here at the Elks most of their junior high and high school careers and to have them volunteer their time was awesome,” Davis said.
The coaching volunteers played golf collegiately, with Woods at Findlay University, Murphy at Lourdes University and DeWeeese at Lourdes University.
There will be another junior golf camp at the Elks 797 venue July 12-14. Camp times daily will be 9 to 11 a.m.
