MT. ORAB — The Blanchester Middle School boys track and field team finished fifth Monday at the Western Brown Invitational.
Blanchester’s Tanner Creager tied a school record in the 800-meter run with his first-place effort. Creager was runnerup in the 1,600-meter run.
Hunter Browning won the 1,600-meters and was two seconds off the school record, coach Tom Greve said.
Jake Newman won the high jump for the Wildcats.
Carter Stevens was second in the 110-meter hurdles while Shane Smith finished sixth. Kaleb Goodin was fourth in the shot put and discus competitions.
