Blan girls 4th, boys 10th at Western Brown Inv.

MT. ORAB — The Blanchester girls track and field team finished fourth Tuesday in the Western Brown Invitational.

The BHS boys were 10th overall.

Joey Holcomb led the Wildcats by finishing second in the discus (140-9) and taking third in the shot put (46-2.75).

Derrick Bowman was fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (17.41 seconds) and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles (46.24).

In the high jump, Dylan Miller and Quenton Miller tied for eighth place, both clearing 5-6. The Blanchester 4×200-meter relay finished seventh in 1:43.25.

For the girls, the 4×800-meter relay team continued its solid season with a victory in 10:46.7.

The 4×200-meter relay was fifth in 2:01.06. Savannah Rhodes was third in the 1,600-meter run (5:53.31) and third in the 3,200-meter run (13:05.57). Asia Baldwin was fifth in the 400-meter dash (66.2) and sixth in the 200-meter dash (29.3).

In the 800-meter run, Olivia Gundler was third (2:33.03) and Mckenzie Hamm was fourth (2:37.56). Sarah Vjlakyoya was seventh in the 3,200 (14:28.79). The 4×400 relay team finished second (4:22.35).

In the field events, Regan Ostermeier was second in the shot put (32-4) and fifth in the discus (90-5) while teammate Morgan Deless was sixtrh in the discus (88-8).
