East Clinton has fun match in win over Felicity

FELICITY — With the best service game of the season, East Clinton defeated Felicity 25-10, 25-13, 25-15 Thursday in SBAAC National Division volleyball.

East Clinton is 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the division. Felicity drops to 1-3 overall and 1-3 in the division.

“The girls played very well,” EC coach Sarah Sodini said. “We served better than we have all season and made great decisions on the court. Libby Evanshine hit the ball very well, Megan Tong made some great plays as setter, Kelsi Lilly had some fun slide hits that pumped everyone up and the back row passed very well. It was a fun match.”

Final numbers had Trinity Bain with two digs and Anna Malone with a kill. Lydia Kessler had an ace and a dig while Jozie Jones had three kills and a block. Savannah Tolle had an ace and five digs. Eryn Bowman had three aces, an assist and six digs. McKenzie Pence chipped in four kills and two digs.

Evanshine with 20 kills, a block, nine assists and six digs. Lilly had two aces, six kills, a block and a dig. Tong totaled two aces, 27 assists and nine digs. Kami Whiteaker had two kills and a dig. Jordan Collom had an ace and five digs. Lauren Runyon contributed an ace, six kills, a block and a dig.
