EBER — After a slow start, Clinton-Massie put nine runs on the board in the third inning and cruised to a 12-3 South Central Ohio League win over Miami Trace Monday on the MT diamond.

The Lady Falcons are now 19-0 overall and 13-0 in the league. They will host Goshen Tuesday and then Wilmington on Wednesday.

“It took us a couple innings to get going tonight,” CM coach Anthony Lauer said. “We went down 2-0 in the second inning. That was our wake-up call. We pounded out seven hits and put nine runs on the board in the top of third.”

Taylor Flanigan led a 13-hit attack with three hits from the eighth spot in the batting order.

“I’ve said all year about this team, we never let the fact that someone scored on us first get into our head,” Lauer said. “These young ladies have the drive and intensity and that’s what makes us successful.”

Caitlyn Robinson drove in three runs. Emilie Fisher and Hailey Clayborn knocked in two each.

Taylor Florea up her record to 13-0 with seven strong innings on the mound. She struck out nine.
