GOSHEN — In a hard-fought battle, East Clinton defeated Goshen 25-22, 25-21 in junior varsity volleyball.

The Astros stay unbeaten at 8-0 this season with a 5-0 record against American Division opponents. Coach Bob Malone said Goshen was the toughest opponent thus far for East Clinton.

Eryn Bowman had two points, a perfect pass, two digs, six assists and two kills. Jordan Collom had eight points, two aces, two perfect passes, eight digs and 10 set assists. Jozie Jones finished with a point, a perfect pass, three digs, 12 kills and a block. Lauren Stonewall had a dig and four kills.

Abbie Reynolds’ numbers were 11 points, two aces, three perfect passes and seven digs. Bryston Roach had a kill and two blocks. Liz Schiff chipped in with a point, an ace, a perfect pass, a kill and six digs. Aubrie Simpson had two points, an ace, five perfect passes and 12 digs.
