Wooster wallops Wilmington College women 7-0

WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster scored five first-half goals en route to a 7-0 win over the Wilmington College women’s soccer team in non-conference action Saturday.

Wooster began the scoring early with a goal by Miura Wiley in the fifth minute. Although Wilmington was able to get a shot on goal in the ninth minute, the Fightin’ Quakers were unable to break through.

Wooster scored again in the 15th and 19th minute. The duo of Hallie Krzys and Muira Wiley responsible for the three early goals for Wooster. The Fighting Scots would go on to score two more goals before the end of the half giving the home team a 5-0 lead.

Wilmington found some defensive footing in the second half putting together 30 scoreless minutes before Wooster scored in the 75th minute. Wooster would go on to score one more goal to make the final score 7-0.

Haley Fulton led the Quakers with three shots on goal. Teddi Farson had a hat trick and Muira Wiley had two goals for Wooster. Hallie Krzys and Zoe Peters each had one goal on the afternoon.

Up next, the Quakers take on Franklin College at home Saturday. Kickoff from Williams Stadium is slated for 7 p.m.
