Blan volleyball moves above .500 with win over Felicity

FELICITY — The Blanchester volleyball team moved above .500 with a 25-14, 25-8, 25-16 win Thursday at Felicity in SBAAC National Division play.

BHS is 8-7 overall and 5-4 in the division.

Felicity drops to 2-6 overall and 2-5 in the National.

”The girls played much better,” coach Rick Seeling said. “We’re still on track to reach our goals for the season.”

Ainsley Whitaker had 19 points, four kills and two blocks for the Ladycats. Makayla Lanham finished with nine points, seven kills and seven digs. Madison Creager totaled seven points, two kills and two digs.

Brooklyn Bockstiegel and Hope Blankenbeckler had five points each with Bockstiegel totaling 6 kills. Summer Schutte had four points, two aces, 18 assists and two digs. Emma Falgner and Gracie Roy had five digs each.

In the reserve match, Blanchester had a slow start but rallied for a 22-25, 25-16, 25-13 win.

Alaina Dameron recorded 14 points, two aces and five kills. Audri Byrom had 11 points, two aces and three kills. Tamaira Stewart contributed eight points three aces and two kills. Madison Winemiller’s numbers were seven points, two aces, 11 assists and a kill.

Bobbie Sue White had five points and two aces. Gracie Roy chipped in with two points, an ace and 11 digs. Nikita White had two kills and two blocks while Desiree Snader returned from injury and finished with three kills and four digs.
