ARCANUM — The Wilmington High School boys golf team opened its season Wednesday with a ninth place finish in the Dor-Wood Optimist Invitational at Beechwood Golf Course.

The Hurricane was led by Hunter DeWeese, who carded an 88.

Dylan Combs shot a 100 and Cameron Smart had a 105. Drew Carey came in with 107, Tristan Reiley had 113 and Derrick Cope shot 119.

Lebanon won the event with a 463.
