ADAMS TOWNSHIP — With three sub-40 scores, the Clinton-Massie boys golf team opened the 2016 season with a 152 to 176 win over Wilmington in a non-league match at Majestic Springs Golf Club.
Playing the par 36 back nine, Cam Collett led the Falcons with an even-par 36.
For Wilmington Jack Murphy and Hunter DeWeese had 43s.
“We played well,” WHS coach Phillip Gilmore said. “It’s just hard to match up to a 152.”
Max Carnevale and Keith Mineer both shot 37 for Massie, who went through the regular season without a loss in 2015.
Thomas Carter had a 42 to round out the scoring for the Falcons. Drew Kienle and Caleb Enright both posted 43s.
Also for the Hurricane, Cameron Smart had a 44 and Zack Zeckser carded a 46. Dylan Combs shot a 47 and Drew Carey came in with a 55.
