GREEN TOWNSHIP — Wilmington held off Miami Trace Monday in a South Central Ohio League quad match at Snow Hill Country Club.

The Hurricane posted a 180 while Miami Trace had a 184. Washington shot a 191 and McClain failed to field a full four-player team.

“We played well, but not our best scoring night,” said WHS head coach Phillip Gilmore. “I think our best team golf is still yet to come. Cam (Smart) and Jack (Murphy) continue to play solid golf and keep proving to the veterans that they are here to stay.”

Smart and Murphy led the Hurricane with 44s.

Drew Carey came in with a 45 and Dylan Combs carded a 47. Hunter DeWeese shot a 48 and Zack Zeckser had 51.
