The Wilmington High School girls cross country team won the Wilmington Invitational Tuesday on the WHS campus.
The Lady Hurricane had 47 points and Fairfield totaled 58 points. Only two of the four teams in the meet had complete squads.
Tristan Vail hit the line first for WHS, placing third.
Clinton-Massie had three of the top six runners, led by AJ Houseman who was second.
East Clinton’s top runner was Mersadees Gulley.
On the boys side, Wilmington was second, Clinton-Massie third and East Clinton fourth.
Jacob Whitaker of CMHS was fifth in 19:05.1. Simon Heys of Wilmington eighth in 19:36.6 and Aiden Henson of East Clinton was 13th in 20:31.2.
