Hurricane boys 8th at Buck Creek Invitational

SPRINGFIELD — The Wilmington High School boys cross country team finished eighth Saturday at the Buck Creek Invitational.

Simon Heys was the first Hurricane runner across the line, placing 20th in 17:30.

In the 3k junior high race, Alex Vail, of Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School, finished 18th in 13:06.
