Lady Falcons send seniors off with 5-set win over Lady Astros

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Clinton-Massie outlasted East Clinton in five sets Monday night in a South Central Ohio League volleyball marathon 25-11, 23-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-10.

The win puts the Lady Falcons at 6-13 on the year. The victory came on Senior Night for CMHS.

“Senior Night is always emotional,” Lady Falcons head coach Stephanie Reveal said. “You just never know how or what team will show up. I was very proud of all the girls.”

Clinton-Massie seniors are Brooke Rose, Hannah Lisle, Savannah Meyers, Paige Burton and Jocelyn Burton.

Rose finished with six kills, five digs and an ace. Lisle had three aces. Meyers contributed seven kills, three blocks, four digs and three aces. Paige Burton chipped in with four kills, a block, six digs and four aces. Jocelyn Burton had two kills and a block.

Haley Conley had 20 assists, two kills and seven digs in the match. Patience Chowning had five digs in the match while Faith Cottrell had five kills. Tyler Greathouse had seven kills, 20 digs and four aces. Ashlie Miller had 13 digs and Rylee Richardson finished with two digs and 12 assists.

For East Clinton, Lacey Peterman hustled the whole game, coach Sarah Sodini said, and finished with two aces, three kills, four assists, two blocks and 13 digs.

“We came out slow and never sped up,” Sodini said. “We did not hit the ball and made several service errors.”

Kaitlyn Talbott had two kills, a block and two digs. Kaitlin Durbin had two aces, four kills, a block an assist and 11 digs. Paige Lilly had an ace, eight kills, a block and 13 digs. Kenzie Campbell had three aces, three blocks and three digs. Mindy Bean contributed three aces, three kills and six digs. Logan Peterman had two aces and eight assists.
