Wildcats drop 1-0 decision to G-Men

GEORGETOWN — The Blanchester boys soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision Wednesday to Georgetown in Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division action.

The loss puts Blanchester in third place in the league at 5-3-1. Overall, the Wildcats are 5-6-1. Georgetown is 7-4-3 overall and 6-2-1 in the National Division. Bethel-Tate is 9-0 in league play.

Blanchester “never looked as if they were in control and were constantly on the defense,” coach Troy Ballinger said.

Dakota Penquite had 15 saves. Eli McIntire, Wesley Mitchell, Brand Bandow and Lane Heeg played at the top of their game on defense, Ballinger added.
