Several high school football leagues are changing the start time for varsity games on Friday nights.
Wilmington High School is a member of the South Central Ohio League and will begin league games at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays.
But the Hurricane opens the season with a pair of non-league games, both of which begin at 7 p.m.
Wilmington will travel to Little Miami this Friday to start the 2015 season with kickoff set for 7 p.m. On Sept. 4, the orange and black travels to Bellbrook for a 7 p.m. start.
The Southern Buckeye Academic and Athletic Conference begins its games at 7 p.m., so all home games for the Wildcats and road games involving SBC teams will start 30 minutes earlier than in the past.
Clinton-Massie has one game with a 7 p.m. kickoff, the Sept. 4 visit to Steubenville.
East Clinton will play at Blanchester Sept. 4, so the early start applies to that game.
