WAYNESVILLE — The Clinton-Massie tennis team edged neighboring rival Waynesville 3-2 in a non-league match on the WHS courts.

CM coach Lynn Deatherage switched the squad’s doubles pairings and was able to win on both courts. The Lady Falcons are 2-4 on the year.

Emma Bailey and Claire Carruthers (5-1 on the year) had a win at first singles while Jordan Bills and Hailey Clayborn (4-2 on the season) posted a win at second doubles.

Kelly Deatherage was a 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) winner at third singles.
