Cross country season ends in Troy for Heys, BHS girls

TROY — The cross country season for Clinton County ended Saturday at Southwest Regional meets here at Troy Memorial Stadium.

Wilmington’s Simon Heys ran in the Div. I boys meet and finished 129th in 20:24.5.

The Blanchester girls team advanced to the regional with a runnerup finish in last week’s district meet at Voice of America Park.

However, the Ladycats were 13th in the regional meet. Bellbrook won the meet.

Savannah Rhodes was the first BHS girl to hit the finish line, placing 38th in 21:31.6.

Mckenzie Hamm was 63rd in 22:15 and Alexis Davis was 89th in 23:38.5. Olivia Gundler ran 24:04.6 and finished 94th while Elecia Patton ran 24:36.1 and placd 97th. Emma Gundler was 100th in 25:16.3.
