SCOL honors fall sports athletes

Athletes from Clinton-Massie, East Clinton and Wilmington were honored this week at the annual South Central Ohio League Fall Sports Banquet.

The first-team All-SCOL football team was Devon O’Bryon, Cole O’Bryon, Jaycob Wolf, Cody Collingham, Christian Poynter and Weston Trampler of East Clinton; Anthony Osburn and Wyatt Floyd of East Clinton; Adam Phelps, Dylan Beaugard, Preston Kessler, Connor Barton and Brady Evans of Wilmington; Brandon Maughmer, Khaleel Danzy, Simon Roderick and Seth Barnes of Chillicothe; Hunter Chain, Gary Vincent, Austin Miller from Hillsboro; Tristan Pitzer and Gabe Adams from McClain; Tiante Connell, Jacob Halderman of Miami Trace; and Trevor Hicks, Kory Proby, Dillon Steward from Washington.

The second team was Cody Messer and Isaac Green of Clinton-Massie; Kyler Reed of Wilmington; Justin Leonard and Malachi Reissig of Chillicothe; Luke Gallimore of Hillsboro; Blake Pittser and Drake Litteral of Miami Trace; and Dwayne Wade of Washington.

Clinton-Massie closed out the SCOL with another league championship with Wilmington third and East Clinton seventh.

The first-team girls cross country squad consisted of Katie Hughes of Clinton-Massie, Ella Parks Cuzzolini and Laikin Tarlton of Chillicothe; and Rayana Burns and Maddy Garrison of Washington.

The second team girls cross country squad is AJ Houseman and Lilly Lentine of Clinton-Massie; Hailey Fugate of Wilmington; Caitlin Ahrmann of Hillsboro; and Abby Sullivan and Carli Frey of Chillicothe.

Chillicothe was the league champion. Wilmington was third and East Clinton fifth.

The boys first-team cross country squad consisted of Simon Heys, Tyler Parks and Bayden Stephens of Wilmington; Jacob Whitaker of Clinton-Massie; Blake Pittser of Miami Trace; Micah Penney of Hillsboro; and Ricky Villarreal and Andrew McCallum of Chillicothe.

The second team boys cross country squad is Simon Debruin, Nick Foody and Henry Debruin of Miami Trace; Justin Scott of Hillsboro; Kameron Morris of Washington; and Max Greisheimer of Chillicothe.

Wilmington won the boys league title with Clinton-Massie fifth and East Clinton seventh.

The first-team boys soccer squad was made up of Seth Gundlach, Charly Schumacher, Sam Spirk and Jalen Douglas of Wilmington; Cameron Baker of Clinton-Massie; Christian Brown, Hudson Ward and Alec Beavers of Chillicothe; Austin Goolsby of Hillsboro; Brandon Goddard and Kaleb Shepherd of McClain; Blake Pittser and Tim Kinzler of Miami Trace; and Jack Luebbe and Kenny Upthegrove of Washington.

The second team consisted of Wyatt Kessler of Wilmington; Zach Hammonds of Clinton-Massie; Ryan Conaway, Andrew Benson and William Krieger of Chillicothe; Landree Gray of McClain; Ethan Conn of Miami Trace; and Blaise Tayese of Washington.

Chillicothe won the boys soccer championship with Wilmington second and Clinton-Massie sixth.

The girls soccer first team was made up of Jasmine Jamiel, Savannah Morgan and Bridgette Thompson of Wilmington; Mikhayla Carter, Kelsey Carter and Preslee Rolf of Clinton-Massie; Payten Davis, Meliah Johnson, Jayla Brown, Lexi Brown of Chillicothe; Hope Tira, Lillian Van Zant and Callan Myers of Hillsboro; Taylor Polley of McClain; Lauren Truex and Hanna Reisinger of Miami Trace.

Second teamers were Sophie Burt and Jenna Victor of Wilmington; Bergen Fischer of Clinton-Massie; Jenna Lapurga of Chillicothe; Natalie Sullivan and Aiden Chaney of Hillsboro; Molly Rowe, Kelli Uhrig and Beckley Smith of McClain; Taylor Barrett of Miami Trace.

Chillicothe won the girls championship with Wilmington third and Clinton-Massie fourth.

The boys golf first team was made up of Hunter DeWeese and Jack Murphy of Wilmington; Max Carnevale, Thomas Carter and Keith Mineer of Clinton-Massie; Trevor Newkirk of McClain; Griffin Shaw and Kyler Mount of Washington; Mitchell Creamer and Tyler Eggleton of Miami Trace.

The second team was Cameron Smart and Drew Carey of Wilmington; Caleb Enright and Drew Kienle of Clinton-Massie; and Anthony Ventura of Hillsboro.

Clinton-Massie was the undefeated league champion with Wilmington as the runnerup. East Clinton was sixth.

The girls golf first team was made up of Heather Fryman of Wilmington; Angela Miller and Gabby Woods of Clinton-Massie; Veronica Olaker of McClain; and Kristin Jamieson, Emily Loudin and Hannah Rumpke of Hillsboro.

The second team is Kelsey Smith and Taylor Kropp of Clinton-Massie; Lindsey Murphy of Wilmington; Chantel Landrum of McClain; and Tori Riley of Miami Trace.

Hillsboro won the league title with Clinton-Massie second, Wilmington fifth and East Clinton sixth.

The girls tennis first team was Brooklyn Nielsen, Sophie Reed, Katie Schroeder and Veronica Ilg of Wilmington; Hailey Clayborn of Clinton-Massie; Madeline Digges, Jera Copley, Carly McCloy and Brittany Harper of Chillicothe; Megan Downing and Anna Nestor of Washington.

The second team is Anne Thompson of Clinton-Massie; Kylee Hidy of East Clinton; Natalie Drotleff of Chillicothe; Breanne Fender of Hillsboro; Cassie VanDyke of Miami Trace; Sierra Dawson of Washington.

Chillicothe won the league title with Wilmington second, Clinton-Massie fourth and East Clinton fifth.

On the volleyball court, the first team was Tyler Greathouse of Clinton-Massie; Olivia Eblin, Gabby Lapurga and Rylee Putnam of Chillicothe; Taylor Remsing of Hillsboro; Chayden Pitzer of McClain; Sam Ritenour and Erica Marshall of Miami Trace; and Hannah Haithcock and Haley Maxie of Washington.

The second team is Logan Peterman and Paige Lilly of East Clinton; Haley Conley of Clinton-Massie; Mallory Overberg of Hillsboro; Malea Montavon and Riley Williams of McClain; Ashley Campbell of Miami Trace; and Victoria Jones of Washington.

Chillicothe was the league champion with Clinton-Massie fifth, East Clinton seventh and Wilmington eighth.
