Hillsboro rallies to edge East Clinton 53-46

HILLSBORO — Hillsboro rallied with a big fourth quarter Saturday and defeated East Clinton 53-46 in South Central Ohio League girls basketball action at the HHS gym.

East Clinton (1-2 on the year) was led by Paige Lilly’s 10 points. Bre Davis scored nine.

The Lady Astros were just 3 for 9 at the free throw line. The Lady Indians were slightly better at 12 for 25.

Madi Marsh of Hillsboro led all scorers with 19 points, 10 of those coming in a furious fourth quarter rally.

East Clinton led 35-31 going into the final period but failed to maintain the advantage. The Lady Indians outscored the Lady Astros 22-11 in the final quarter.
