12-under wins Vineyard Memorial scholarship tournament

The team of Jeremy Vinup, Tyler Sargent, Craig Sargent and Kerry Wilkinson won the 5th annual Garrett A. Vineyard Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament Aug. 15 at Majestic Springs Golf Course.

The tournament is held in memory of Garrett Vineyard and raises money to award scholarships to graduating seniors in the class of 2016 at East Clinton High School.

The winners had a 12-under par 59.

The runnerup team consisted of Greg Yeager, Kevin Camp, J.R. Ewing and Eric Plas. Third place went to Chris Williams, Bill Williams, Gary Ward and Justin Bair.

There were nine Gold Sponsors for the tournament — BMR Farms, Woodruff Bros Farms, RD’s Whitetails-Ron Davis, Doug and Robb Barton-Barton Farms, John and Stacie Rolfe, American Legion Post 149, Fraternal Order of Orioles Nest 263, Becks Hybrids-Jason Gentry and Bush Auto Place-Vinup Homes.
