BLANCHESTER — Unbeaten Amelia defeated Blanchester 5-0 Tuesday in a non-league tennis match on the BHS courts.

The Ladycats are 3-4 on the year while the Lady Barons improve to 9-0.

“Amelia is the best team in the SBC,” said BHS coach Matt Sexton. “They have the best singles player and the best team top to bottom. I thought Brooke Honaker played extremely well against (Rachel) Dapper. She went for her shots and had some success.”

Sexton said the second doubles team of Megan Weber and Makayla Sturgill played well “considering it was Makayal Sturgill’s first varsity match.”
