The Blanchester seventh grade boys basketball team was defeated by Amelia 34-30 Tuesday night.

Coach Tom Greve said it was his squad’s best game of the season. The young Wildcats are 2-6 on the year.

Gabe McVey had nine points, eight rebounds and five assists in the win.

Jackson Bray had eight points and eight rebounds while Blake Coffman added six points. Seth Akers had five points. Justin Hogsett had two points and 10 rebounds. Greve said Jacob Hamm played well defensively for Blanchester.
