The Blanchester eighth grade boys basketball team used a strong defense to defeat Georgetown 42-27 Wednesday night.

The young Wildcats, now 7-2 on the season, were led by Brayden Sipple who had 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals.

Trenton Czaika had 6 points and Logan Heitzman had 4 points and 8 rebounds. Hunter Hartmann scored 3 points. Matt Holland, Colton Wilson and Noah Faulkner had 2 points each. Czaika, Heitzman and Kyle Hopkins handed out 2 assists each.
