CM girls win first bowling match 0f year; boys also prevail

GOSHEN — The Clinton-Massie varsity boys and girls bowling team swept matches from Goshen Jan. 18 at Eastgate Lanes.

The varsity boys had 2,174 while Goshen finished with 2,038.

“Although we got the win, the boys struggled,” CM coach Shonda Marburger said. “Every time we bowl at Eastgate Lanes, we struggle.”

For the girls, the Lady Falcons had 1,361 and Goshen totaled 1,339. It was the first win of the season for the Clinton-Massie girls.

“With only having four bowlers, they have worked very hard to get to this point,” Marburger said. “It was nice to see them win.”

Brittany Fry led Massie with games of 160 and 116. Jennifer Callewaert had 95 and 122 while Emily Rager had 112 and 102. Kylie Harvey finished with 83 and 77.

Baker games were 113, 122, 130 and 129.

For the varsity boys, Jacob Wellman led the way with 172 and 177. Joey Marburger had 179 and 153 while Aric France had 160 and 161.

Kenton McInerney had games of 129 and 112 with single games by Chandler Morsch 166 and Corey Potts 111.

Baker games were 169, 173, 183 and 130.
