AUSTINTOWN – Wilmington College junior Christian Jones has been honored by the Ohio Athletic Conference in a vote by league coaches.
Jones (Hamilton, OH/Hamilton) earned honorable mention All-OAC for his production in the 2016-17 season.
“Christian had a solid junior season,” said Wilmington head coach K.C. Hunt. “He had some tremendous performances throughout the year. I know he will get to work this off season and be even better next year.”
The sharpshooting guard finished the season averaging 12.5 points per game, and reached double figures in 15 of the 25 games. He shot 39.7 percent from three-point range, and 42.2 percent from the field. He added 2.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
He helped WC to a four-win improvement from last season, and the Fightin’ Quakers finished 9-16 overall.
