EC 7th wins, 8th loses

LEES CREEK — The East Clinton Junior High School volleyball teams split a pair of matches Tuesday by Greenfield.

The eighth grade lost a 20-25, 4-25 match.

Emma Malone had one point, Myah Jones served four points, Kylee Walters had two points, Kiya Byrd had one point and Rhylee Luttrell had four points.

The seventh grade defeated Greenfield 25-22, 25-17.

Jericka Boggs had 17 points, six aces, a kill and a block. Alexis Rolfe had 12 points and five aces. Gracie Evanshine had five points, three aces and a dig. Katrina Bowman had two points, an ace, an assist, a kill and a dig. Lauren Hadley had two points, a kill and a dig. Marci Ellis had three points and an ace. Gracie Boggs, Braylynn Malone and Brianna Rider had one dig each.

Coach Jaime Evanshine said the team’s intensity and effort was the difference in the match. Coach also said the team was serving more consistently and being more aggressive at the net.
