The Clinton-Massie Middle School boys and girls track and field teams were defeated by Kings in the season-opening meets Monday night.

The CM boys lost 66-57 while the Lady Falcons were defeated by Kings 76-47.

Emma Muterspaw ran a personal best 5:59 to win the 1,600-meter run, coach Kari Rudduck said. She also won the 400-meter dash in 68 seconds.

Nora Voisey ran 2:58 and finished first in the 800-meter run. McKenzie Avery went 28.9 and hit the line first in the 200-meter dash.

Voisey, Avery, Muterspaw and Natalie Lay teamed to win the 4×400-meter relay.

Breckin Harner was second in the pole vault and Courtney Fisher was runnerup in the high jump. Avery was second in the 100-meter dash and Voisey was second in the 400-meter dash. Lay ran second in the 200-meter dash.

Clinton-Massie will host the Clinton-Massie Relays April 5 at Chick Brown Track.
