Ladycats cruise by Bethel

BETHEL — With everyone on the team getting action, the Blanchester volleyball team swept Bethel-Tate 25-15, 25-10, 25-14 Thursday in Southern Buckeye Conference action.

“Everyone on the team got in and contributed to the win,” said BHS coach Rebecca Doughman. “Shayla Sicurella had a good offensive game, leading the team with seven kills. Defensively, Stephanie Gerlach led with nine perfect passes to the setter and also had three digs.”

Shelbie Rose had two assists and a kill. Allie Evans had five points, two aces and four digs. Heather Hurtt had two points and a dig. Cheyenne Brown had a kill and a block. Rachael Doyle had two kills. Sarah Burton had four kills, 13 points and six aces.

Hannah Wisniewski had 11 assists, four kills, a block, five points, two aces and a dig. Kayla Dugger had 12 assists, three kills, 10 points, two aces and four digs. Asia Baldwin had two blocks, 15 points, seven aces and two digs.
