FRANKLIN — The Wilmington High School lacrosse team was defeated by Franklin 14-3 Tuesday night.

JT Croghan had two goals for the Hurricane and Cody Cravens scored one. Conner Mitchell had an assist.

Conner Barton made 14 saves in goal for WHS.

“The team has shown some improvements since their first game,” WHS coach Adam Shultz said. “However, second half penalties and losing the ground ball battle are two areas that will be addressed. I am pleased with the progress that our first-year players are making. Last night, we had several players who are knocking on the door.”

Wilmington will host Clinton-Massie 2 p.m. Saturday at Alumni Field.
