Hurricane bounces Astros in SCOL tennis

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington High School tennis team overpowered East Clinton 5-0 Monday in a South Central Ohio League match on the WHS courts.

The Hurricane is now 5-1 overall, 4-0 in the SCOL.

On Tuesday, Wilmington will finish its match with Miami Trace, down 2-1 but ahead in two matches. WHS will play at Chillicothe on Wednesday.

The top match of the day came at first doubles where Daniel Andrews and Jack Romer battled to a 6-3, 6-4 win over Jaren Evans and Blake Bronson.
