Mason Moore of Franklin recorded the first hole-in-one of the golfing season at the Elks 797 Golf Course on Sunday.

“The wind was perfect today,” Moore said. “Since I’m left handed it helped me fade the ball from right to left perfectly into the pin.”

Moore’s ace came on the 155-yard par 3 No. 14, with a back left hole location.

“I’m just glad my buddy was here with me to see it so someone can verify it happened,” Moore said.
