WILLIAMSBURG — The Blanchester Middle School boys track and field team was fifth Tuesday at the 10-team Williamsburg Relays.

Shane Smith and Carter Stevens teamed in three events and brought home gold medals in each, coach Brad Ballinger said. They won the 110-meter hurdle event.

Stevens and Smith joined forces with Brady Phillips and Blake Richard to win the 400-meter relay and the sprint medley relay.

Brett Bandow, Taylor Cochran, Ian Gillespie and Matt Holland were fourth in the 3,200-meter relay. The shot put tem of Josh Cordes and Troy Hedstrom finished fifth overall.
