WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — Kayla Hall homered twice and drove in five runs as East Clinton defeated Washington 15-11 Friday night in South Central Ohio League softball action.
The win puts East Clinton at 7-4 overall and 5-3 in league play.
The Lady Astros led 12-3 but the Lady Blue Lions put eight runs on the scoreboard in the sixth inning to make it a close game.
Tori Bailey had four hits and drove in four runs.
On the defensive side, Tori Bailey, Tabby Vance and Miranda Beener made big plays to keep East Clinton on top. Beener had a double play to end the game.
“They timed our pitcher pretty well and were driving the ball and those great plays kept us in the game,” EC coach Matthew Zimmerman said.
