BETHEL — Blanchester banged out 13 hits but had to hold on Monday for an 11-10 win over Bethel-Tate in a Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference softball game at BTHS.

“This was a perfect example of just win,” BHS coach Jamey Grogg said. “We were up 11-4 going into the bottom of the sixth and had to hang for the one-run win.”

Blanchester is now 10-7 overall and 7-2 in the National Division.

Jay Dalton blasted a three-run homer and had four RBI total. Kassidy Abney had four hits and scored three runs.

Maddie Curless gave up 12 hits but only two of the runs were unearned because of defensive errors.
